Quick payment once records are complete

My cat stopped eating for 3 days and was running a temperature. I took him to the vet who did several tests and xray, but could not find a cause. They fed and hydrated him intravenously for almost 2 days, and when I took him home, he finally started eating again. When I filed the claim, of course I couldn't find his complete records; once they were complete, I got a check in less than a week. Given that delay, I am now hunting down the records of my other animals just in case.

Best Pet Insurance

I had used another company a long time ago and was not satisified. Trupanion has been amazing to deal with. They are helpful, caring, fast and help cover your animal at times that you may not have the funds to cover it.

Very good service and coverage

Our dog had to have emergency back surgery. I submitted the claim with Trupanion and they reimbursed us for most of it. I was impressed with how easy the claim submission process was. We received the reimbursement within couple weeks.

Juneau's Blood work

Juneau has been scratching and biting at himself for several months. no fleas or paracites so I decided to do bloodwork to determine the cause.

Thank You Trupanion!!!!

Our beautiful little Westie, Molly, suffers from chronic allergies and Trupanion has been absolutely wonderful with her medication reimbursements once we met our deductible. She recently became very ill, we were at the vets office a few times in one day. We submitted another claim for her not knowing if anything would be re-imbursible, and again, Trupanion was just great. We met another deductible and received over $200 back. I can't say enough about this insurance, they are the best. Very easy to deal with and always respond in a timely manner. The staff seems to genuinely care about Molly's health and condition. I would recommend Trupanion to everyone!!!!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
