Fast and reliable

Pepper is my second dog, this is my first time getting a pet insurance. He's insured by Turpanion 30 days trail and unlucky he's to use within the trail period because my wife give him wrong treat which make him diarrhea and vomiting and has to go to emergency. Claim is easy and fast what I need to do is send a photo of receipt to Turpanion claim email, within 1-2 days I've got reply and get money back within a week. Unfortunately I've to use it again because Pepper jump and broke his front left leg, I sent the receipt to Turpanion again as usual it's fast. I highly recommend Turpanion, not just fast and their representatives are nice and helpful, also wait time is less than 5 mins.

A veterinarians choice

First, I should say that I am a veterinarian. I have pet insurance because while I can provide most of the care for my pet even I need the help of specialists at times. This time my little guy tore both his cruciate ligaments and needed to see a surgeon to correct the problem. His surgery went great and Trupanion responded very quickly to my claim. I see a wide variety of insurance claims from clients and I chose Trupanion because of the extent of coverage they offer and their great client service.

Great fast service!

I was surprised how easy it was to get claims processed and paid. Our vet participates with Trupanion and files the claim directly with them and I can elect to have the payment sent directly to Trupanion, which I did. I got an email notice a couple days later that the claim had been paid, and an Explanation of Benefits. I wish my health insurer were that fast! We are very impressed!

Excellent--WAY better than I expected...

My first experience with pet insurance, very expensive acute event. The vets offices and I submitted the forms on a Friday and the next Monday, the review was indicated to be in process on Tuesday, and was approved on Thursday and I had the check within 2-3 days. Amazing. Needed to call them a couple of times just with my own questions (not because of issues) and the phone was answered promptly, the folks on line had my case records available WHEN they picked up the phone, and were clear and knowledgeable from the start. I did not expect this from my knowledge of human insurance. Although when I was choosing insurances, my vet office said Trupanion was the most helpful and they felt the best coverage. With my dog's acute event, the specialists group that I needed to see said the same---the best coverage and easiest to work with, in their experience. This review is totally uninfluenced, and I am a very happy camper..!!!!

fast efficient service

the policy and insurance was dealt with in a very fast and efficient manner. I was updated via email regarding my claim and coverage, I received a cheque I the mail within 1 week and I live in rural BC. I also used this service while Domino was under coverage about 4 years ago. She fell off a cliff (she had multiple surgeries and weekly checkups over a 1yr period) the Trupanion insurance was very beneficial and helpful during the ordeal. Domino is now fully recovered from her fall and is doing great.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
