Trupanion is the BEST

I was always skeptical of pet insurance. I found Trupanion hoping that I would never have to use it but unfortunately I did. My boy has cancer. They have been more than accommodating, lovely on the phone and via e-mail, pay for what they say they will, and the reimbursement is immediate. I am so thankful for Trupanion! I can't say enough positive things about them. All I can say Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

They have been wonderful to work with!

My 5 year old Female Bull Terrier has had an unbelievable myriad of health problems. These include the loss of 1 lung due to a foxtail inhalation that was very costly and she nearly died at UC Davis. She has also had genetic kidney issues, pancreatitis and many other health conditions. Trupanion has always paid my claims often within 7 days of submitting them. Their coverage at 90% unlimited minus my $500 deductible has been a lifesaver. Literally. Both of my Bull Terriers are insured with Trupanion. I would never own a dog without Trupanion on board.

Trupanion 's terrible record for my pets!

Trupanion has rejected every claim I have submitted (in excess of 3)!Most recently they have refused a claim that my vet said was a UTI. He prescribed antibiotics. The company refused to reimburse as they claimed that he was having a behavioral issue. Now why would a vet prescribe antibiotics for a behavioral issue! In my opinion, they are a terrible insurance company and I would never recommend them to anyone!

The bst pet insurance out there!

I have had multiple experiences with Trupanion and each one makes me glad I have them for my pet insurance. One of dogs has had issues with lameness in his leg snd the x-rays and procedures were expensive and Trupanion promptly covered it and sent me a check in 3 days! I would definitely recommend this insurance.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
