Trupanion handled our claim in less than a week

Our cocker spaniel tore a ligament in his knee that required an expensive surgery. Thank you Trupanion for being there when we needed you most.

Peace of Mind

I'm so glad that I invested in Trupanion pet insurance. My beloved kitties are elderly now and I didn't want cost to be a factor in any health related decisions as they get older. If you consider your pets to be part of the family, do yourself and them a favor and buy this insurance. They will have whatever medical care they need to maintain a good quality of life and you don't have to worry about the cost. Trupanion has been wonderful to deal with. They process claims quickly and customer service is great: they are accessible without long hold times and also very helpful. I highly recommend Trupanion.

love Trupanion

I have a toy Poodle that I got when she was 9 wks old. She started throwing up bile every now & then but I wasn't sure what the real issue was. After a few years of this my vet recommended a biopsy of her stomach...her diagnosis is inflammatory bowel disease. She is doing well now with medication and diet. Thanks to Trupanion all of my bills are paid at 90% and I don't have to worry about taking her to the vet.

Made what could be a hard few months much easier.

I signed my two cats up for Trupanion a few years ago. I recently took one of them into the vet for hepatic lipidosis and was told that the underlying cause was cancer. Treating the hepatic lipidosis itself was expensive, but making a decision about chemotherapy would've been impossible without Trupanion. I only had to pay the deductible once, since Trupanion recognized that these two conditions were associated. The claims process is easy and quick. All interactions I've had with Trupanion on the phone or via email have been professional and caring. They even were able to predict my needs and set me up for direct deposit and sent me pre-approval forms so that I could get my pet the best possible care. It took a lot of stress out of the decision-making process and has allowed us to improve her quality of life. Pets are our family and Trupanion's family, too.

Very Happy with Trupanion

We purchased our pet health insurance several hers ago when she was healthy, and as she grew older we were so happy we did it. he now has a heart condition and is blind, but still a happy and feisty little girl. Trupanion has come through every step of the way as we have cared for our Dachsie's unique health problems. She has a great life, and we haven;t thought twice about getting her the treatment she needs. Trupanion insurance has given us a level of comfort and peace of mind that we really appreciate.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
