Very happy with Trupanion

Have had Trupanion for 4 1/2 years. Never a problem with claim processing. My Bernese Mt. Dog has EPI and needs pancreatic enzymes on her food the rest of her life. Trupanion pays 90% and I pay 10%.Her enzymes cost 150.00 a month. Be sure the pet insurance you buy pays for medicine. I paid a one time deductible for her illness. After that only 10% of the cost of the medicine. I would insure my next dog again with Tripanion.

I wish my health insurance could work so well .

My experience with Trupanion has been perfect . The Vet practice that did the emergency surgery billed them directly and were surprised at how quickly the claim processed . The post-op overnight care animal hospital charged me directly and I was reimbursed in just a few days . I can't say enough about how well the whole insurance process went . Thank you Christine

Couldn't have been easier

Our Great Dane was attacked at the dog park leaving her with a huge wound in her side. She required blood work, surgery (anesthesia / monitoring), stitches, medication and follow up appointments. It was nice to say to the vet: "do what needs to be done", and not worry about the money. I received my cheque 3 days after filling the claim :)

simply awessome the best plan ever

I have 3 cocker spaniels all have had medical problem The oldest a chocolate has had multiple issues it is estimated that some where in the area of 50 thousand which 90% paid by Trupannion the other one a black cocker has had 2 major surgeries and the baby has had 2 surgeries The amount per month I pay is far less than other pet plans Trupannion could increase my monthly assessment by fifty percent and it would still be a good deal I tell any pet owner I meet the excellent service especially on a major surgery the vet submits the bill to Trupannion I gat a Email same day advising they have it the next day it is being processed On the third it is deposited to my account by direct banking Also when you deal with them on the phone they are so very much customer orientated Without Trupannion I would have been forced to put 2 of my dogs down not a pleasant thought Thanks for being there Andy

Great Service

This was my first time submitting a claim having enrolled for insurance approximately eight months ago. The staff at the animal clinic helped me complete and submit the claim. Less than two weeks later the claim was approved and payment was made to me. Very quick and smooth process. I couldn't be happier to have purchased the pet insurance.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
