There when we needed you!

My dog Chipper suddenly got very sick -- went from seeming perfectly well to not eating and lethargic. Took him to the ER vet right away. He had a fever, pneumonia, urinary tract infection, low platelets , and a low albumin level. He ended up in the vet ICU with an IV for 5 days. Required antibiotics, Xrays, ultrasound,,, a plasma transfusion. I thought we were going to lose my buddy, He was diagnosed with an autoimmune problem and was started on high dose steroid treatment, which pulled him through. We sent the claim in (it was over 6 thousand dollars)and got paid before my credit card payment was due. Trupanion came through quickly!!

Very satisfied pet owner.

We love our pets: Daniel and Napoleon like children, and, because they dedicate themselves to giving us so much love, we want to take care of them in the very best manner when it comes to their health. A few years ago I did research for pet insurance and after reading many reviews, I chose Trupanion. Recently, our Napoleon had to have surgery. I filed a claim and received responses immediately via e-mail. The claim was accepted and were told we will receive a check (the 90%) that Trupanion guarantees to help cover our expenses. I would highly recommend Trupanion to everyone who wants the very best for their furry children.

Amazing!

We are so happy that we insured our pups with Trupanion from the time they were very young. We've had many claims ( ranging from cataract surgeries, to skin tumours and a broken toe... to a hospital visit when one ate a rug!) All claims have been evaluated and paid promptly. We are so confident in Trupanion and would never delay seeking care for our pups if there is the slightest issue because of this confidence. Best company ever!! - Thank you Trupanion for such peace of mind.

Simple, Caring, Professional

TruPanion has been a saving grace to our two cats. I manage the care of both my mother's cat and mine. Our vet, Pet Crossing, submits claims right while we are in the office. Ususally, care is processed quickly, I pay my deductible plus the balance and we are off back home to catnip and curled up napping. This was the case in our most recent trip to Pet Crossing. TruPanion also has pre-approval of claims for those serious incidences where I needed solid financial information to understand if I could move forward with treatment. Though premiums have risen as our cats age, our two cats have not had to cash in any of their nine lives since being covered by TruPanion.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
