wire encounter

The vet was able to see Newton within an hour of the incident. She and the vet techs stayed after hours to operate on Newton to put him back together. While waiting for Newton to come through the procedure, I did not stress over the mounting expenses because he was covered by Trupanion Insurance. I received a reimbursement check in 4 days. My daughters also have their dogs insured by Trupanion. It gives economic peace of mind.

Peace of Mind

We were very pleased the way our claim for Strider was handled. Within 24 hours of submitting receipts for our boy's MRI and possible upcoming surgery, Trupanion responded with the fact that they were reviewing the account. Within 48 hours, they let us know what the insurance would cover. Trupanion paid EXACTLY what was promised and in addition pre-approved a possible upcoming surgery. When you are trying to make decisions about your beloved animal family member, Trupanion comes through. We would recommend Trupanion to any animal owner and we do!

Best experience ever

My baby bulldog was dropped by a friend of a friend and broke her baby leg in two places. Had to have an extensive surgery and was devastating. It was such a relief that the whole insurance process was so smooth and seamless so I could concentrate on taking care of my puppy ! Thank you Trupanion for being the best!

Quick Trun-around!

Bring a completed form to your Vet.They will "fill in the blanks" and fax it off to Trupanion. We've been members since our lab was 7 weeks old (now 4) and have no worries when she "gets into trouble" because we know Trupanion will come through. I have recommended this insurance to family and friends

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
