Thank you Trupanion durung these hard times!

We've had Trupanion since we got our dog, Ferris, when he was 1.5 y/o. He was born with idiopathic megaesophagus and requires feeding via a g-tube becuase his esophagus doesn't work. Unfortunately this was considered a pre-existing condition and not covered; thus we've encountered much expenses. Alas this is not a burden but an honor to do for our baby. All was well till recently when he was diagnosed with lymphoma. I was scared because there is no real cure and also because of the costs. I didn't think Trupanion would cover anything and was about to cancel it. But the Lord takes care of his children. Trupanion covered the sick visits, work up, specialist, hospital stay, medicines and all chemo and immunotherapy treatments! Thank you Trupanion for helping during these difficult times and letting us concentrate on our baby instead of expenses. The hospital told us they see numerous pet parents that cancel their insurances rght before horrible/expensive diagnoses and then it's too late; parents don't think they'll ever need it or that Trupanion will cover things. We're now recommending to everyone to get Trupanion as soon as possible (preferably at young ages) and never to cancel. Our family and Ferris thank you Trupanion!

trupanion was there when we needed them

We had only been with Trupanion two months when our puppy required an overnight stay in the Calgary north hospital. Tests were run and Iintravenous was administered. Trupanion came through as promised.

The best pet insurance ever

I can't thank Trupanion enough for all the help and support through Hannah's medical issues.I have had the insurance for almost 4 years and it has been incredible. They have covered everything they have to... never tried not to pay me or cut the cover... even the medicines. Hannah's was totally healthy when I got the insurance and 1 and a half year later things started happening... up to now Trupanion have covered 2 ACL surgeries, Thyroid treatment, Eye Treatment, and just few weeks ago a cancer mass removal... you have to get it if you care about your pet... it is a peace of mind... people called me crazy when I got it 4 years ago and now they think I am the smartest person ever.

Excellent service.

Representative was very responsive and the overall time from submission of claim to receipt of check was days not weeks or months! Insurance companies for humans could learn from Trupanion!!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
