PUGS

Newly adopted pugs. Pugs are the best but can have some health problems. Anything and everything goes into the mouth of the female that is approx. 8 months old. She roots around constantly. Glad I enrolled in Trupanion. She ended up having a couple of bouts of gastroenteritis with vets bills at about 2K. I now keep her on a leash in the house and outdoor when she is not being crated, plus I have her on a very bland diet. The male was approx. 8 months and I have not had any health problems with him at all. I would recommend Trupanion. They have paid for the first year premiums for both pugs.

AWESOME!!!!!

Everyone who has a pet should use Trupanion. They are the most reliable, courteous, quick responding company out there. They really give you peace of mind to be able to care for your pet they way you would any family member. Keep up the great work guys!

Always the best

Trupanion has always given the best of service. Trupanion has made it possible for us to give Jake, German Shepherd, the very best of care. We enrolled him when he was a puppy and it gives us piece of mind that when he gets sick, together we can take care of him.

Pleasantly shocked by the response

We have only had Murphy for 15 months. The first claim we made was within a month of starting the insurance and was rejected due to a 'pre existing condition' so when Murphy became gravely ill with a mass on his colon and lymphoma we were not too hopeful about putting in a claim. This was a very distressing time for us, and we were feeling very low as our new and loved family member's prognosis was terrible to say the least. Trupanion rushed our claims through quickly, without any prompting and the checks have started to roll in. We are very grateful and feel that the email responses have been friendly, kind and helpful. Well done Trupanion, and thank you.

Coverage

One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice. To view a full list of inclusions and exclusions, check out our sample policy here.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
