Third set of claims Refused

I have had Trupanion for almost 2 years. My labrador Boson had hot spots prior to the insurance. Boson also has had a mass on his leg recently that was biopsied and needs to be removed. I submitted claims for the biopsy and two other claims but all three were refused. According to their "experts" the mass on his leg was a precondition of the hot spots. They also raised my rate last year. I am through with these crooks. I suspect that if Boson got out and got hit by a car and needed surgery, they would deny it saying it was related to his previous hotspots. This insurance is total CRAP. Don't waste your money. Put the premiums you would pay into a savings account and you will be ahead.

Extremely polite, professional, and efficient!

I always get an actual person on the phone in a timely manner. Agents are always knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. Claims are processed very quickly. I am extremely satisfied with service and have recommended Trupanions to all my friends with pets.

i think they were great !!!!!

got my dog from a resue shelter and shortly after getting him he started scrathing brought him to the vet and the bills started piling up my husband said dont get the insurance but like most of the time i didnt listen to him it payed off after a small deductable they started paying for testing and know allergy meds very pleased with them great service and very friendly reps to talk to uit took them about 2 weeks to process the claim

Fast and easy claims

Trupanion is very quick at turning around claims which is awesome when you are dealing with the stress and cost of your sick companion. We have a relatively high deductible, but with the soaring cost of vet bills, it is easily met when an illness befalls your pet. Knowing that the rest of the costs are covered at 90% after the deductible is comforting.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
