Trupanion is our lifesaver (literally)

We had a dog previously we did not have insured. I will never live that nightmare again. I had to take a second job at the end of her life and lose precious time that could have been spent with my heart dog. I had to do that to pay The thousands of dollars in vet bills that came at the end of her life. Not to mention the several thousand we spent in her early years on leg surgeries. Our dogs both have insurance. One is a puppy still but our older dog has used it quite a bit. It's easy to submit claims online and cheques are sent out promptly. If there's ever something missed, a quick phone call has it resolved in minutes. I will never ever have an uninsured dog again and Trupanion is the best there is!!

When you can't afford surprises, Trupanion!

While I was "contemplating" signing up for pet insurance thru Trupanion, one of my dogs, Rocky, was poisoned while in my yard. The entire ordeal ended up costing me $8,000.00 by the time we were able to save him. I signed up with Trupanion immediately afterwards, and three weeks later my other Dog Star suffered a multiple fracture of his leg requiring several surgeries and totaling $5,000.00. Trupanion covered 90% of the cost! Don't put off insuring your pets. Without pet insurance I would have had to put Star down! I'm on a fixed income, but Trupanion gives me the Security to not fear the unexpected costs associated with my fur-kids.

Happy we have Trupanion

We never in our wildest dream that having a pet would cost so much money for the medical bills. Our dog had two legs surgeries when she was 4 yrs old which at that time we do not have any insurance coverage for her. After spending over $8000 surgeries for both her legs we regretted not buying the insurance for her which we was about to but then scrap the thought. We immediately look again for an insurance coverage for her and came across Trupanion. Even though there will be exclusion clause and is on a co-sharing 90% basis it's still worth the peace of mind Sure enough, she was diagnosed with liver problems and had to go thru blood test and biopsy. Later glaucoma with left eye blinded. All these unforeseen sicknesses of our pet, we were able to claim back. So far we are very impressed on how fast the payment by Trupanion and we definitely will recommend Trupanion to our friends and all pets owners

I think Trupanion failed on my claim to be covered for Bruno's possible early renal disease.

I think Trupanion failed on my claim to be covered for Bruno's possible early renal disease. He was denied coverage even though there was no diagnosis of anything before he was insured. And he had only a slightly elevated creatinine which could have been caused by a myriad of factors. There was no pre-existing condition before he was insured. You will take your premiums, but you will make every effort to deny a claim if you think you can get away with it...no matter how tenuous the defense. In my case, you are plain and simply wrong. What good is an insurance company that tries to squirm out of legitimate claims when you need them? As a lawyer and customer, I can't endorse a company that will deny any clam they think they can get away with. It's not coverage.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
