Honest Coverage, Incredible Service!

Our English Bull has had many issues with allergies (diet & skin). She is allergic to 30 of 32 common ingredients found in dog food... thankfully a protein (lamb) was a low indicator. We focused on the diet side for quite some time, but then it was suggested by our vet to consider a dermatologist. We are in the initial stages of treatment but initial treatments were quite costly but we proceeded because you can't put a price on your pet's health and comfort. We called Trupanion, not sure if or what might be covered. They basically told us 90% of everything would be covered, excluding our deductible and the consultation fee (just like the wording says). Where we really feel they went above and beyond is when I offered that we have been paying many other invoices trying to manage this condition over a long period of time... they covered it all under this illness and went back as far as we had receipts! The speed of service is incredible as well... less than 48 hours from submitting the receipts. Trupanion is awesome!

You have saved Muffys life❤️

Trupanion has saved our dogs life. Diagnosed with a fatal if not treated pancreatic disorder at the age of 3 we were blindsided. Muffy is on medication for the rest of her life and Trupanion is the only reason we are able to manage her disease financially. So simply she is alive and happy because of Trupanion.

Thank Gawd I have this protection

We got this insurance when our dog was 9 weeks old and he is now 12 years old. It paid for it's self in the first 2-3 years, our dog was a little bit accident prone. The decisions that come with healthcare for any family member can get harder as they age and thankfully we don't have to weigh financial limitations when it comes to our best little dummy. We have never had any issues with receiving payment from Trupanion and would never get a pet without coverage EVER. Trupanion makes me feel comfortable and calm in very tough situations. Thank you

Kind representative

When I called in, I didn't have to wait on hold, which was really nice. The woman I spoke with was friendly and very kind. My dog died, so I was calling to cancel my policy. They were even going to return money to me because he had died and I still had made a payment. I didn't even ask for that - so that's pretty great. She was also very kind about him passing.

They are very reliable and helpful.

It is worth it to have this insurance. I have been very pleased and reimbursed in a timely manner. I would do it again if I had the opportunity.

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
