Sonnet | Pet Insurance Review

This is the most horrible experience I have ever had with any company ever. After I was hit in a car accident (deemed not my fault) sonnet insurance ignored my calls and emails for over a year and I still haven’t gotten my car fixed. Do NOT BUY THEIR INSURANCE IT IS A SCAM.

Very easy and quick online purchase. Same coverage as my previous insurance provider but $47 a month cheaper. A large savings of almost $600 a year. Glad I found Sonnet, I felt my previous provider was ripping me off and I was right.

Couldn't insure a car same day, could only insure for next day while other companies happily will. Also wouldn't quote me based on my actual driving experience which sonnet has a record of. Classified me as a new driver even though you have my records that show clean driving history with no claims or convictions or gaps in coverage. Customer service agent said the only option was to buy the policy and hope for the best through an escalation process. I've gone from recommending sonnet to everyone to telling people to avoid now based on this terrible experience.

The app’s idea is good, but it’s frustrating in practice. I lose points for using GPS while driving—even though it's necessary and safe when mounted. Also, getting penalized for driving during normal work hours doesn’t make sense. Not everyone can avoid rush hour. Needs improvement to reflect real-life driving.

I don't contact Sonnet often. When I do I like to speak to an agent since sometimes I find the online options hard to understand and/or navigate.
