Once you speak with an agent, they are extremely helpful and understanding. I do find their phone tree frustrating, but the rates are fantastic so I’m willing to put up with it. As well, you’re able to buy insurance online even on Sundays through their website. This was fantastic when we bombed down to Lethbridge to buy a used car. We thought we’d have to park the car at a relative’s, but thanks to Sonnet, we were able to drive it home the same day. That impressed me and their rates too. We have now moved both vehicles over and our home insurance too. I would recommend preparing an online quote for home insurance and speaking to a human before you purchase however. Home insurance is more complicated and their basic coverage doesn’t include things like hail which you have to include if you live in hail-prone regions.

I would NOT recommend them. I had to change my debit card as a result they cancelled my premium and then charged me for it. When i followed up with numerous calls they were very vague about the resolution time period. When they final gave a resolution, they reinstated my policy without notifying me and then charged me again. When I asked for written notification and for them to charge me for the period I was aware of, they sent me a very condescending email stating they revoked the reinstatement. So in other words, they had time to message me with unreasonable and negative responses but did not have time to resolve my issue or respond to my inquiries. Please do yourself a favour and go with another insurance company.
