Customer service are fast and friendly I did my quote on line and they called me and had me insured in less than 15 minutes
I called and was promptly taken care of in a positive and caring manner. It was refreshing to hear a pleasant and helpful representative that was knowledgeable and ensured me all was ok and informed me of some company policies that were extremely helpful for future communications. Thank you Andrew
I have left a review here about Sonnet before, but do so again because once again I had an issue and it was resolved within less than five minutes in a chat session with an agent. So that was great!
Sonnet nearly tripled my car insurance year on year!!! The situation is that I allowed the policy to renew, thinking that since nothing really had changed, the rates would not really change that much. Clearly a bad assumption and I do acknowledge not the best to just let a policy renew without checking details. However, I was offered really no explanation other than 'risks went up'. To note and emphasize, I had no accidents, no tickets, and it was the same car. I have been ticket and claims free for many, many years, and I might be one of the lowest risk drivers around. .
I spent about an hour on the phone with a rep from Sonnet. What they explained is that I could look at my coverage, changing deductibles, limits, etc. Effectively, moving the risk from them to me. I was able to save about $300 per year. After I explained that I felt this was effectively highway robbery, he said, well, you should have looked at the fine print. We can adjust rates as needed. I was surprised by this and also the inability to look at the new premium. As I mentioned, my premium nearly tripled year on year. When I pointed out that other insurers were pricing the risk much differently (I had different quotes from different insurers), the messaging back to me was that really there was no way to adjust the new price. Wow! Beware consumers!!!
I was able to find another insurance provider at even less the amount that Sonnet had been initially charging me. Definitely pays to shop around!
Got an insurance coverage only for Sonnet to double my premium to 300$ a month because their Sonnet Shift app is incompatible with my Phone. Not something I was aware of or informed of before activating my insurance with Sonnet. Deceptive sales and downright disgusting lack of customer service.
Upon contacting an agent I was told Sonnet wouldn't be able to give me my original price. Now that they can't perceive my driving habits through invasive software they assumed I was high risk and put me on their most expensive rate.
Sonnet will not receive a dime until they fix their error. Insurance companies like sonnet are the reason regular everyday people get drowned by bills they didn't even agree to. This company is predatory and I would recommend you steer clear.
