I'm new to Pumpkin

I'm new to Pumpkin. My dog, Floyd, became insured as of 7/13/204. When I was trying to make up my mind who would be my dog's insurer and also which plan was best for my dog, I was greeted warmly by a representative named Sarah. Sarah explained the various options. In addition, she offered a follow up call by a mutually agreeable date to help in case I should decide to use Pumpkin. I was called on the day we agreed upon and quite frankly I was pleasantly surprised that she called. Because of her caring, I decided to use Pumpkin as my dog's insurer. Thank you Sarah!

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
