Thankful for Pumpkin!

I am thankful for Pumpkin. It was the best decision we ever made when it comes to ensuring our pet had options if medical treatment was ever needed. We made claims for surgery, after surgery care, medical prescriptions - including prescription diet. Pumpkin covered every claim, without hassle, and quickly. I will never bring home another pet without ensuring they have coverage with Pumpkin. The monthly premiums paid are worth the assurance, and peace of mind.

Very quick with claims

Filing a claim is very simple & fast. Last company I was with, it would take a month for that company to complete. Pumpkin is excellent. I would refer them to anyone seeking pet insurance.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
