Prudent pet may be more expensive than…

Prudent pet may be more expensive than other pet insurers, but when my pet had an accident or injury, there were no questions asked and Prudent Pet promptly reimbursed me. I appreciate how easy they are to get a hold of. Their website is easy to use. The staff are friendly on the phone. I spoke to Stephanie today and she was excellent at helping me get my new pet insured.

Excellent Customer Service!

I am new when it comes to pet insurance so I wasn’t sure where to begin. Monica, my sales rep, called me and did a great job of explaining the policies and coverages. I am really happy with the level of customer service from Prudent Pet. I have total confidence in their ability.

Monthly Cost

Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.

Coverage

We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.

Payout Limits

We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan.  There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.

Deductible

Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.

Age Limits

We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies. Optional Wellness Details We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount. *Correct Jan. 2019
