Prudent Pet Insurance is the Best

The company is very fast to process any claims that I’ve submitted so far. I am going to recommend Prudent Pet Insurance to all my friends, former co-workers, and family members who have pets. So Glad I Switched to Prudent Pet!

From the very start, I've been impressed with Prudent Pet, and I'm so thankful I found them! I had to take my little guy to the vet because he was having problems with an eye infection. I live on a fixed income, and when I paid the bill, my bank balance fell to an anxiety-inducing low. I submitted my claim to Prudent Pet that same day. The process was simple and quick, and so was the response time! I received my reimbursement check quickly! Customer service is also extremely helpful and empathetic. This is a company that truly seems to care about pets more than they care about profits. They help me make sure my little Shih Tzu can get the medical help he needs when he needs it, and they give me peace of mind.

Monthly Cost

Monthly rates start at $10 for Accident only and $16 for Accident & Illness coverage. Those rates vary based on species, age, breed as well as your location.

Coverage

We cover based on the actual vet bill and have options for 90%, 80% or 70% reimbursement.

Payout Limits

We offer limits of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and an unlimited plan.  There are no lifetime limits with any option you choose.

Deductible

Choose a deductible that works best for you and your family, we offer $100, $250 and $500 options.

Age Limits

We have no age limits, but your pet will need to be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

For our accident & illness plans (essential & ultimate), we have a 14-day waiting period. Our accident-only policy only has a 5-day waiting period. There is no waiting period for wellness coverage.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered by our policies. Optional Wellness Details We have two preventive/wellness plan options. Our basic option costs $9.95/month* and our Prime option costs $24.95/month*. These cover things like wellness exams, dental cleanings, or flea/heartworm prevention. Reimbursement for these is based on a set maximum annual amount. *Correct Jan. 2019
