Petsecure | Pet Insurance Review

I am so glad I got insurance with this company. I insured my pug when he was 8 weeks of age and by 6 months of age he was diagnosed with environmental allergies, hip dysplasia, gastroenteristis and respiratory issues. Petsecure covered 80% of all his bills and has continued covering all his treatments. When I called head office to confirm that all his treatments were covered they reassured me that everything would be covered. Thank you so much Petsecure for protecting my dog and allowing me to treat all his conditions without having to worry about the cost of his vet bills. I recommend this company to all my friends !!!!

I have had Petsecure on all of my pets for the last 5+ years, currently 4 cats and 2 dogs! In the past 6 months I have had to submit claims for pneumonia ($7000), recurring bouts of pancreatitis, demodex, and now possibly feline asthma, on a number of my animals. Petsecure always pays my claims to my full expectations and I have never been disappointed!

I submitted a claim for cat boarding fees and also a a form for seeing if they could process my claim for when my cat took sick. I My vet and I kept submitting forms for pre=payment of her fees and they kept repeating requests for forms even though it was submitted by snail mail and by fax. They kept misplacing my forms and now i have run into Nsf charges because of the delays in sending me my money.Be persistent and PATIENT

My dog was diagnosed with epilepsy and I incurred over $3,000 in Neurology Veterinary bills. They paid 80% of that amount as promised. However about two months later, I received a letter stating that they were dropping my coverage in future to pay only 50% of any subsequent claims. The letter also stated that they would revisit this in six months time. I had no further claims and they finally reinstated the 80% coverage ... Four years later. So beware, they will pay the claim but penalize you for making it.

Refused to pay for surgery completed September 04, 2012, sent a letter telling me they placed an exclusion on the affected tissue September 20, 2012, 9 months after I signed up for the surgery. Have had insurance with them twice, they have never paid a cent toward a claim. Pet secure is a scam.
