Pets Plus Us pet insurnace

I have been breeding great danes for nearly 20 years. Because I am a registered breeder I have the opportunity to send my puppies to their new homes with 6 weeks of free insurance. It gives me a great deal of comfort knowing my puppies are covered by insurance and really appreciate Pets Plus Us following up and helping my puppy buyers to get the insurance. I tell them it is like wearing a seat belt, you may never need it, but when you do it sure is wonderful to have! I have dealt with another company that the CKC used to endorse, but Pets Plus Us has been better to work with and seem to appreciate breeders.

Super friendly, slow to underwrite

My dog tore her ACL and had to have surgery. PetsplusUs didn't finish underwriting the claim until 8 weeks after the surgery date due to a lack of medical history (which I had to get for them). However, they did cover their portion and were very helpful and friendly when I did have any questions.

I'm so happy I have insurance

My German Shepard boy Apollo just recently had to have a knee surgery. He is recovering really well. Hopefully in 8 more weeks he will be running and enjoying summer. I am so happy I have insurance for both of my dogs. I would have had to wait to do his surgery if I didn't. I am very impressed with Pets Plus Us for the way our claim has been handled. I sure wasn't expecting them to actually phone me and ask how Apollo is doing. Thank you for asking. I have recommended Pets Plus Us to many of my friends and clients as I'm a dog groomer.

Excellent Service and Informative

We purchased a policy with Pets Plus Us for Chalka as we were impressed with the level of knowledge and advice we received when investigating coverage. This companies customer service reps were extremely informative, helpful and knowlegeable. Their premium was competitive and they have a lot of extras that the other companies don't have.

Monthly Cost

Monthly costs vary based on your pet’s species, age, and location, as well as your chosen plan. Customize coverage to suit your pet’s needs and your budget.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill and includes coverage of exam fees and taxes.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $5,000 in Accident Only coverage, or $7,500 or $15,000 in Accident & Illness coverage annually, depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

$100 – $700 age-based annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. There is no upper age limit.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins after 48 hours for accidents. A policy waiting period of 14 days applies for illnesses.

Exclusions

All pet insurance plans have limitations and exclusions. Medical Conditions that are noted, symptomatic or diagnosed prior to enrollment, or during a waiting period are pre-existing to Coverage and not eligible for reimbursement. All Accident & Illness policies are underwritten upfront so pet owners are aware of any pre-existing conditions that will not be covered prior to making a claim.
