The absolute best pet insurance! Very good coverage at a good price! It is super easy to submit a claim and they are just a phone call away if you have any questions or concerns. Love Pets Best!

Slow processing but otherwise good

Overall, I am happy with the decisions made on my claims. I've also had a good experience with customer service agents. However, I do find that PetsBest takes a really long time to process claims — much longer than any of the other three pet insurance companies I have had. If things could be sped up so decisions are made within 1-2 weeks (versus 3+) that would be much more reasonable.

Super fast claims processing

We visited my dog's oncologist on Monday afternoon. Late that evening, I submitted the invoice and early Wednesday morning I received an email informing me that our claim had been approved. This isn't an isolated instance. PetsBest has rapidly processed every claim that we've submitted and payment follows shortly thereafter. I'm not one to make recommendations, but I've been telling every pet owner I know about my experience with PetsBest.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
