Petsbest rejected $650 claims because they considered cats' vomiting as pre-exiting condition

I am very disappointed with the Petsbest insurance and believe this is a scam. ALL cats vomit once in a while, which is normal behavior. My cat vomited 3 times in the morning, so we were worried and sent her to the vet and got $650 bills. My vet wrote "Patient vomit once in a while " on the medical record, hence Petsbest insurance determined this incident as a pre-existing condition and rejected the claims. Walk away with Petsbest insurance.

Pets Best is an Outstanding company

Pets Best has been incredible. They made the claim process so easy. All we had to do was upload the bill. Pets Best communicated with the vet and got all the medical records. They kept me apprised of the status of my claim with frequent emails. The contract we signed with them was easy to understand and they stood by everything they'd promised to deliver. It was an incredible experience and I highly recommend them.

excellent company

This company is true to its' word. After my deductible, they have paid 90% of my young dog's oncology and vet bills. I would never have been able to afford this treatment. They answer all calls promptly and with a satisfying answer. Claims process is easy and reimbursement is quick! I HIGHLY recommend them

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
