Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

I switched to Pets Best after a few years with a different provider. Basically they provided greater cover (twice the limit and preventative care), a lower deductible and a lower premium. This combined with a fair claim process makes Pets Best the winner.

I was always able to speak with a helpful person. They were more than just a phone operator very personable people. Every question I had was always answered. They helped me work my claim I thank you so much and would recommend them to anyone who's a pet parent.

The claims are answered promptly and are well explained every detail.

READ ALL THE 1 STAR REVIEWS ON YELP, GOOGLE, AND BEWARE: This pet insurance agency gets you looped into a scam of a policy where if the same accident happens twice, they don't care and won't let you use your policy. Their team also DISCOURAGES YOU TO APPEAL CLAIMS. When my ER Vet called Pets Best to send in a letter to supplement a claim appeal, the customer service agent directed for the vet to NOT APPEAL even though the same accident happened in a different situation. The fact that someone who works for Pets Best would try to sway a vet's right to appeal is so unethical and proves that their own staff knows this insurance agency doesn't authentically care about it's pets/owners and does not review each case based on individual circumstances. Once I voiced my discontent with this situation, I still waited 6 months to get an appeal answer (while still paying for a policy that I thought would later support me) and was still rejected. I've complained about this malpractice of discouraging to appeal multiple times in calls with various agents and asked to speak to a supervisor and was then told to email the main customer service email. I asked to speak to a supervisor over the phone again and haven't heard anything in 4 days. If you're looking for a pet insurance that genuinely cares and empathizes with their clients and makes you feel supported in stressful times of need, like receiving financial support from $5000 in ER bills, DO NOT select Pets Best. They'll take your money ($2,000 in my case) and not blink an eye when you actually need help. I'm at the point where I just want a refund for wasting my hope and energy, considering I haven't received a single cent in support from my claims.

Monthly fees keep going up and benefits going down. Didn't get reimbursed for wellness exam even though I've been paying this monthly fee for years for that coverage. Also, response time has slowed down. Time to move on.
