Pet insurance is WORTH IT!

I got pet insurance as soon as I got my dog - she has always been insured, but I never used it. There are a lot of pet insurance detractors out there who complain and say they are paying for something they never use. But here is the thing - you shouldn't want to use it! That means something is wrong! After years of never using my pet insurance, both of my pets got sick in 6 months and I was so grateful that I had pet insurance. I was able to make the decisions I needed to make for my pets without having to think about the financial part too much because I knew that I was covered. The Pets Best claims process is very easy - just upload your itemized bill and medical records. While it took a little longer to process the claims for my younger dog, I was reimbursed for thousands that I paid out of pocket for her healthcare. For my older dog, I received an explanation of benefits within days of submitting a claim and received the funds in my bank account within a week. I am very grateful to pets best and refer all of my friends and family. I will be a lifetime customer!

My dog passed recently from colon…

My dog passed recently from colon cancer. I wanted to get insurance because I know his form was aggressive and wanted some peace. After multiple medical trips, I sent in my receipts. I waited almost a month just to get told, NONE of my claims were covered because they were preexisting. Almost 2k in bills and I didn't even get a dollar back. They said it was cause of pre existing conditions and that's not covered which is malarkey. I get it's a business but we need to have some humility and care in our hearts but no. I do not recommend going to them at all. There are better and cheaper. I'm but one person but this experience has forever tainted their reputation. PB sucks.

Happy for the most part

Overall completely happy. Usually have a fair amount of time approving my claims and pay within a few days after that. My only complaint is that apparently some of the people looking over the claims only skim over and reject quickly. This is on claims I make monthly for prescriptions. On the positive when I call they have always made it right and approved. But apparently some of their team needs more training.

Really don't seem to pay for the…

Really don't seem to pay for the routine service. When I reviewed bills for other dogs we had with your representative much more was covered. Very disappointed and considering canceling the service

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
