Accessibility and Use of Pets Best Website

There is never a problem when submitting a claim. Directions are clear; it takes very little time to complete the process. Further, refunds are issued in a timely fashion and any explanatory information is easily accessible. My husband and I are very pleased with design and workability of the website. poor support

I have had a pets best policy for only a few months and when my sweet kitty needed surgery I tried to connect with them to make sure it was covered. I’ve tried chatting, leaving them email messages, and tried calling and have not once spoken to a real person for help. It is interfering with my ability to make big decisions about my animal that I care for. Very frustrating. I will keep trying, but I will be cancelling soon if I can’t speak to someone.

Good not great

Set up was easy and they were supportive. They want your business! I don’t think their platform is super customer friendly. Their chat service is often busy. If you end up calling for support they are kind but vague in what they can answer. It would be preferential to know what would be covered given a quote instead of having to submit a claim and see. Reimbursement has been pretty good so far based on the plan we selected.

Pets Best is literally the best

Pets best has consistently been an incredibly reliable source of insurance for my pets the past 6-7 years. The claims are processed quickly and have absolutely saved me thousands of dollars over the years. I highly recommend pets best to anyone seeking an insurance plan for their pet. As long as I have pets, I will have pets best insurance.

Worst company with no prompt responses…

Worst company with no prompt responses to claim. Insensitive to the loss of pets. Should not be in business. What they advertise is not what you get.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
