Kind of strict with grouping issues as…

Kind of strict with grouping issues as pre existing. My dog had yeast ears and because he had allergies before they didn’t cover the ear issue. Claims also can take awhile to be paid.

I am so happy that I insured my dog with Pets Best.

I am so thankful that I went with Pets Best Pet Health Insurance at the end of last year. My dog is getting older and my Vet suggested that a pet insurance plan might be a wise move. I researched a number of options and selected Pets Best. When I recently had to file a claim, I was thrilled that Pets Best came through for me. It was a wise investment. The claim was handled quickly with no hassle. I highly recommend Pets Best!

STAY AWAY IF POSSIBLE!!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

My GSD had an ear infection 4 years ago and got a new one a week ago......visit the usual vet and guess what...dog is already OK but Pets Best DENY the claim and labeled it as a recurring condition.....results is that you pay a monthly premium for nothing, DENY, DENY, DENY!!!!!!

I can't give it a full five stars…

I can't give it a full five stars because they turned me down on a claim saying that what my dog had happened before I had insurance but they don't know that. My dog has a wart on his eye and I told the vet I don't know when he got it so I guess the assumption insurance company makes is it must have happened before he had insurance so I'm not happy with that but whatever. However I do have to say for my first claim of what they did pay for they were very quick with getting back to me when I submitted my claim and that's a good thing because I didn't expect as much. I went into this thinking pet insurance is a scam so I guess these guys are legit.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
