Good luck getting reimburments

When it comes to paying - they will use every excuse not to. Cleaning anal glands because my dog is scooting in pain - cosmetic procedure. Getting his ears cleaned because he has an ear infection - cosmetic procedure. In the meantime, they feel no qualms with tripling insurance costs.

Claims & Customer Service

I am very satisfied and happy with the customer service and claims service provided by Pets Best. I have been a member with multiple pets since 2021 and have referred them to many friends and coworkers. They are quick to reply and resolve issues, their claims process is very quick and easy, and their staff are extremely friendly and caring. In addition they have sent me flowers, cards, and memorial gifts for the fur babies I had to lay to rest over the last few years, this personal touch means a lot. Thank you!

Pets Worst

Pets Best doubled my monthly premium, and then started to no cover coverables items that were already approved in previous claims - they have cut reimbursement by 50% just through micro denials that i then have to appeal and justify. It is heartbreaking enough to have a senior dog facing end-of-life illnesses - it is so much worse having to battle your pet insurers to pay what they promised when you signed up for their highest coverage plan. Pets Best is more like Pets Worst. There are much better pet insurers out there - dont waste your money and well being on Pets Best.

Pets Best used to be superb; not anymore.

Pets Best used to be superb. In the past year, it has tanked, mostly due to its underwriting process. Unsure what exactly changed. The customer service reps do a great job, mostly attributed to having to apologize for the underwriting.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
