I used to have Nationwide for my…

I used to have Nationwide for my previous dogs, and I always had to submit the medical bills. With Pets Best, I don't have to submit them, and they will call the vet directly. I do like that, but it seems to take a little longer to get the claims approved. Other than that, everything seems to be going ok.

Beware Pers Best

Don’t add any additional coverage. I have the highest coverage possible and after my cat was found to have fleas and ticks, I took him to the vet ASAP. They provided me with Flea and Dewormer to treat him after the visit, but pets best covered 0% of it. I pay them about $600 a year and have received nothing back on my claims EXCEPT for my neutering but they didn’t even cover that fully. Get only accident and don’t get scammed by these shit heads.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
