For the first time in almost 10 years, Bert wasn't interested in a meal. It was obvious that something was wrong. Once he began vomiting, we immediately took him to the vet. An exam and x-rays showed no obvious obstruction. However, after a few days at home, he showed no improvement so we scheduled a follow up appointment. While waiting for that appointment, Bert became extremely lethargic-almost unresponsive- and obviously uncomfortable so we made the decision to take him immediately to the emergency vet. His medical team shared our concern that there was something serious causing his distress, and they recommended an ultrasound. Much to our relief, the ultrasound was clear and his bloodwork was normal. He spent the night in the hospital, receiving medications and fluids and was eventually ready to return home. We were thrilled with each sign that we had our normal Bert back. With every day, he improved a little more, and he's now snuggly, demanding and hungry- just as he's always been. We may never figure out the reason for his illness, but there is no way to measure the relief of knowing that the cause of his distress was not related to an obstruction or a mass. Having our Pets Best policy gave us such peace of mind, knowing that we could follow the medical team's recommendations, without worrying about the cost.

While at the vets (fortunate timing) for a checkup, Gizzie (Gizmo) had a sudden episode of bloody diarrhea and vomiting. She was diagnosed and treated for gastroenteritis. Pets Best handled the claim in an expeditious and a grateful manner.

I was very happy with the insurance and what it paid towards Buddy's bill. It really helped me out alot!!! I would recommend this pet insurance to everyone!
