Pets Best delivered on their promise.

My beloved dog of 9 yrs. suddenly became sick. I took him to an emergency vet clinic and to my shock received the worse possible news. Apparently he had been sick for a while but was always so happy and loving that he never showed any signs of being ill. I had to make a heart-breaking decision to put my best friend to rest. In the middle of the shock and heartache we just faced losing our loved one, the last thing on my mind was having to deal with the financial side. I submitted my claim to Pets Best and they handled processing my claim with no issues. They were very courteous to send email notifications on where they were in the process and when claim was paid out. I never called Pets Best to cancel my policy, but in the process they took the initiative to cancel my policy and refund payment that was made after the passing of my pet. I of course would rather still have my pet with me today, but Pets Best really made the process easy and delivered on their promise. I will definitely use their services in the future!

This claim process and coverage…

This claim process and coverage is SOOO much better than AKC which I had for the first 11 years of Coda's life and the first 18 months I 've had Gumbo. Thanks for making caring for my dogs so much more streamlined!

Overall a great experience.

In comparison to other pet health insurance, I found Pets Best to have above average coverage, but what has kept my business is the ease of use with their website and their customer service. I just submitted my first claims for my dogs, and I had it done in less than 10 minutes, and although they said it might take a few days to hear back on processing, I had a response within a day. The EOB is very clear and easy to understand. Overall just a great experience and one that I just recommended to my daughter and grand puppy.

Wish our insurance was as easy to use as Pets Best.

I've always had nothing but great things to say about Pet's Best. Having it seems like a no brainer, and the people I've talked to who have it love it just as much. I was explaining the claims process at my job(I work in healthcare) and my colleagues and I joked that we wish our own types of insurances were as great and easy to use as Pet's Best.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
