I Regretably Forgot I Had Pet Ins...

I regrettably forgot I had pet insurance and never filed claims when Pieper was healthy, though I had paid for Wellness coverage. So when Pieper was hospitalized, I had zero experience with filing claims -- and the hospital did the entire process for me. You sent the check within a week or two, and I received an email letting me know it was being processed and then a phone call to follow up and let me know you would prorate a refund since he had passed away. Your representative was absolutely lovely, and the reaching out to me during that awful time was very helpful, as I wasn't really even thinking very straight about anything but his loss. I commend your company and have recommended it to others.

I Have Never Had Pet Insurance. T...

I have never had pet insurance. They explained it all to me before I joined and as well after I joined and put in my 1st claim. They told me why the claim was not paid. I put the lady m in because I wanted to know how and why how they paid. They explained everything well. Best thing We could have done for pet. Even if they didn't pay anything. I like be them.

Lilly, Our 5 Yr Old Poodle, Becam...

Lilly, our 5 yr old poodle, became listless and wouldn't eat (very uncharacteristic for her!). Got her to the vet for treatment, all well now, and PetsBest paid a large chunk of the bill. Thank you!

I Was Pleased That Pets Best Cove...

I was pleased that Pets Best covered my cat Shadow for medical tests and xrays done in September of 2017 to diagnose arthritis and the medication prescribed for it. I only had to pay for the deductible and coinsurance which amounted to approximately 27% of the total bill.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
