We were informed very quickly (within a day) that the claim was in process. Also, when it was adjudicated I was informed promptly. I understood the process and decisions. We very much appreciated the timeliness and clarity of the claim.

We have a Goldendoodle puppy and we decided that getting insurance on him was a must. After reviewing other pet insurance companies we decided on Pets Best. It was the perfect decision. Claim Filed 9/15. Acknowledged 9/...

Claim filed 9/15. acknowledged 9/15. 9/25 notified requested medical records from Vet. 10/4 notified records not received and claim would be closed in 2 days if not received. I was traveling with limited internet service but was able to contact the vet and you on 10/4 that they had sent the records the previous day. You acknowledged that on 10/4 and paid the claim. My only issue is it took 10 days to request the medical info and then when not received in 9 days (8 for the vet) there would have been only 2 days to get the info. I was fortunate to be able to get internet and follow-up with the vet. If that had not been the case, I would have had to start the process all over. I think you need to reconsider how long before you would close a claim. If I had been out of internet service for a week or out of the country, it would be problematic. Thanks.

Love Love Pets Best. My Puppy Get...

Love love pets best. My puppy gets into a lot of stuff. My claims are processed quickly and payment is made within a week. The claims filing process is super easy. I'm so happy with the coverage and service!!!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
