Quick and Reliable

I can always count on Pets Best to get a quick claim review and they are very reliable to pay claims as I would expect. They do a good job of explaining to me what is covered and what would not be and why.

Great communication/Fast processing.

We had an emergency trip to the vet for our 4yo GSD who was a rescue. Everything was covered exactly as we expected according to our selected policy and its underwriting terms (of which I read every word because I don't like surprises). The submission process was simple (upload required docs online and you're done). We received notice of direct deposit having been sent 3 business days after our final docs* were sent in. *The only delay was between initial submission and Pets Best requesting 12mo vet records - as we had just adopted about 4 months ago, we didn't have 12mo of records. The fix for this was simple enough so our delay was miniscule. Even with this tiny (but understandable) delay, we were 10 calendar days from submitting a claim to payment being sent. Logistics aside: it was PRICELESS to not have to decide anything at the Emergency Vet. Knowing that we were covered no matter the cost made it much easier handle the whole emergency.

Very pleased with everything about Pets Best!

My cat became very constipated and had to spend the night at the emergency pet hospital. Everything was covered and filing the clam was easy. He has had several follow up visits and the claims have been paid promptly. I also find the premiums extremely competitive when you compare to other plans.

Don't waste your Money!!! - Claims everything is pre-existing

This company is complete butt!!! if you get a rescue dog or if you get your dog when they are older!!! They won't even cover diagnostics fees!!! Let alone a $5,000 surgery that my girl needs for her Knee! Because its now considered a pre-existing condition although I've had this insurance for 5 months!! and if something happened to my other girl's knee it also wouldn't be covered! Don't bother with this company and just go to Hartville pet insurance! They don't consider things to be a pre-existing condition if it's been healed for 180 days and they only have a 14 day waiting period vs Pets Best 6 months! They are about the same price and Hartville has better coverage! @petsbest I've already talked to a customer service representative when you guys would not cover her diagnostics fees spent an hour on chat with them! If you want to look into it, my policy number was 104020585. I will not waste any more of my time with petsbest by calling you! Because at the end of the day you won't cover my girl's knee and I have to spend $5,000 out of my pocket for this surgery when she had your companies insurance!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
