Long time client
I have been a long time customer. I am also a professional in the veterinary field. Claims processing takes upwards to 30 days or more. You should be ashamed of yourselves and embarrassed to stand behind that. You send cut and paste policy holder info in generic emails with an apology that falls on deaf ears. You wouldnt accept my monthly premium a day late let alone 30 or more no matter how apologetic i was. Action speak louder than words.

Long time to reimburse
Please note that this insurance provider takes a very long long time to process the reimbursements. my puppy is almost 3 months old, no medical bills, just wellness visit... the first 2 puppy shots and it has been over 4 weeks since I sent the invoice and NO reimbursement...I do not recommend it.

Dishonest claims but friendly customer service
I filed a wellness claim for one of my dogs once I had confirmed that wellness coverage had kicked in. They advertised an under 8 day turn around time, however when I called after making the claim to confirm receipt of all requisite documentation (this was just routine preventative care and neither injury nor illness) I was informed that it could take up to 20 days. We're right up on the 30 day mark and while I've received an apology email, I can't help but feel severely disappointed in their lying to me in advertising and then again in guaranteeing under 20 days. However - their call center is staffed by incredibly friendly people that are delightful to speak too. Is the company dishonest? Absolutely. Will I ever recommend them again? Absolutely not. Despite that, they do stand apart from competitors with how friendly their call center staff is.

once the insurance and pre-existing and…
once the insurance and pre-existing and covered expenses are established it works pretty well. My only issue is that it seems to be taking longer and longer for reimbursement. originally had a turnaround of about 1 week, now it's several. if there are that many claims now and so backed up, they should hire more reviewers. sometimes the settlement of a claim can make a difference as to how to proceed medically as well as financially.

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.
Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states).

The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method.

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan.

$50 – $1,000 annually.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.
Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
