It takes forever to get my…

It takes forever to get my reimbursement. The message always sounds like it's not usually like this but EVERY time I request a reimbursement it doesn't come for a month or so. It's absolutely insane. EDIT: I submitted my claim on February 13, 2020 and received an email on March 5, 2020 that my claim hadn't been processed yet. Exact wording from email sent to me on March 5, 2020: "Pets Best strives to process claims as quick as possible, however with the volume of claims we are currently experiencing we are unable to meet our own expectations of being able to efficiently serve our customers. We apologize for this delay in processing your claim for Ollie, and we are continuing to process your claim as quickly as we can." The reply to this review saying that it only took two days is FALSE.

Pets Best has been my go to pet…

Pets Best has been my go to pet insurance through 10 out of my last dog’s 12 years. He had a major injury and a gastric torsion with in days of the first injury. Pets Best paid my claim immediately. Right now I have a 10 month old puppy that has to go to ER 2x. I was reimbursed minus my deductible in a very fair amount of time. Best of all I was able to take pictures of my receipts and submit them on line. Excellent company.

Very slow work type to solve the claims; also the reps, in most cases, are not giving a clear explanations of the status, outcome, etc Thinking very seriously to drop this insurance due to unsatisfying outcomes

Disappointing...

I left rave reviews for this company after my first claim was handled and reimbursed within 8 days. It was a wonderful experience from a consumer standpoint. This has to be something they clearly do for the first claim, and the first claim only. My experience on claim #2, which is 10 mos. later it has been the polar opposite! We are on day 37 now and two e-mails reminding them that my claim has been in the category "Received" since the 13th of last month. Both letters were responded to in 72 hours with a typical form letter generated by a computer and probably never read by an actual human. I want to feel comfortable knowing I will be reimbursed in a timely manner. I never want to have to worry about the cost of taking my pet in for an injury or anything concerning his well being. It is Pets Best moral obligation to pay in a reasonable time frame.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
