I have used Pets Best since my dog was a puppy and they have always come through for us. Don't know what I would do without it.

Brought my dog to get a dental…
Brought my dog to get a dental cleaning, and when i did my claim i was expecting them to only pay a certain amount for the entire service but they went and checked each individual item on the invoice and i ended up paying a lot less then i initially thought.Doing the claim was pretty easy, good service overall.

After having 5 dogs without pet…
After having 5 dogs without pet insurance we decided, upon getting our 6th puppy, to get pet insurance. I'm still not quite sure why we did this time around because all our other dogs were pretty healthy. However. Am I glad we got the insurance this time around! Our new puppy has been into everything....like a Hoover on steroids and unfortunately, has needed medical care on multiple occaisions to get her well. ( This has included both regular vet visits and a visit to the emergency hospital. )
Pets best has been great. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because it took about 2 months to hear back about our initial claims. After that our claims were processed fairly and quickly. We also had a good experience with calling their help line in getting questions answered.
I would recommend pets best insurance.

So far so good!
We have had no problems with PetsBest. We enrolled our puppy after realizing we would never meet our deductible with Trupanion’s per incident deductible policy and I’m so glad we made the switch. His puppy antics (everything from eating a bee to swallowing glue) would have cost us a couple thousand, but we were paid out 90% each time with no issues. They even pay the exam fee, which Trupanion doesn’t cover. They do take a little longer to pay out (sometimes up to a month) but the claims process is easy, and as long as I get paid out, the month long wait doesn’t bother me too much (isn’t that what credit cards are for?).
Monthly Cost
$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.
Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states).
Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care.
24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method.
Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.
Payout Limits
$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan.
Unlimited lifetime limits.
Deductible
$50 – $1,000 annually.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.
Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
