Customer service does not exist--phone not answered, no chat, email link goes nowhere. No way to reach them. Form does not permit giving less than 2 for customer service. How can you trust someone who does not let you honestly rate them? I have 4 cats & 1 dog but cannot provide that information on this form. My account online shows 2 of my cats with same policy number and I cannot talk with Pets Best to solve the problem. My cat is in surgery and I don't know and cannot find out the correct policy number because there is no way to reach them. Why? Desperately need more/better customer service. Why don't they hire people to work from home to fulfill the need??????

Last year I bought it plan for my pet…

Last year I bought it plan for my pet Max,In sept, he started some pain in his neck and I take him to the doctor, they did not figure out for two months. Finally doctor recommended x-ray and CT scans. I called pets best customer service to check if it’s covered, and I was told everything is covered. I filled claim in end of November, and they did not response until 1st week of January and provided explanation they are unable to process the claims, since they did not receive medical record from the doctor, and they made few attempts. I called the doctor and she stated no one requested the medical records. Finally I provided the medical records and week after they denied the claims stated he had pre existing condition. Max never went to the doctor for Coronic pain prior to Sept, and they try to make excuse to refuse the claims..don’t waste your time and money, first thing I am doing tomorrow morning cancelling insurance.. go with healthy paw if you really love your puppy. Only the reason I buy pets best, because I have my vehicle insurance with progressive.. time to cancel all together !

Was Surprised How Fast Pets Best Came Through...

My dog is 12 years old and we have been with Pets Best since Dec 2019. She had no pre-existing conditions, but suddenly developed heart failure and was rushed to the ER in Nov 2020. The vets saved her life, but the total cost ended up around $3500. I put a claim in with Pets Best and to be honest, i was expecting they would find a way not to reimburse me just because i figure thats how insurance companies work. Not Pets Best. I got reimbursements my full expected amount of $2600 and i received my money via direct deposit roughly 4 weeks after making the claim without any push back from them. I would highly recommend them given how fast they moved and unlike other insurance companies, didnt try to screw me!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
