Great service

Very good service. Simple claim submitting on the app. Took a little longer to get paid this time but I'm guessing that's due to covid.

Not good experiences, cannot recommend

I subscribed to the most expensive insurance plan that "covers" the most. The (apparently) poorly trained adjusters denied the whole claim except for vaccinations, including the wellness items that were supposed to have been covered. I then had to spend 45 minutes speaking with customer service only to have them transfer the claim to a supervisor to review, whom I have yet to hear back from more than a week later. In my opinion Pets Best is not the best pet insurance company out there, even for the money. There is no point having insurance if the "covered items" won't be covered.

Very Satisfied

I am disturbed at some of the negative feedback I see here. I have had 3 of my pets insured with Pets Best for over 2 years now. Over the last 6 months, my dog developed Inflammatory Bowel Disease and required multiple vet visits and specialist appointments, and also a long hospitalization. I filed all the claims in accordance with the guidelines provided and had absolutely NO PROBLEMS. The claims ended up totaling thousands of dollars and Pets Best was very helpful to get everything done. Wait times on the phone are a bit long, but once you get through the reps are very kind and helpful. I would recommend Pets Best. They helped save my dog's life and prevented a financial mess for us. It's well worth it!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
