We love Pets Best. Quick and easy Claims

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I submitted a claim a month and a half ago and they claim they’re waiting on vet info. I called my vet and they have heard nothing from the insurance, they even doubled checked and asked around the office. I’ve tried calling 3 times in the past week and have been on hold for 2+ hours. I’m over it. Stay away from this company.

My experiences with Pets Best Health Insurance

I have had Pets Best for my dog since he was 3 months old, he is now 3 and a half. He has had several medical issues requiring emergency care. Each bill has been promptly with no questions asked. Many of his annual shots and check ups have been covered also. They also keep me informed of the status of my claim throughout the process. I could not recommend Pets Best more highly.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
