Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

They’ll find every reason to deny claims. Have been a customer for 11 years. Customer service used to be good and claims process fairly easy, but has been declining during the last couple of years, Unfortunately, my dog is too old and have pre-existing conditions so switching to another insurance carrier may not make sense.

We have been very pleased with Pets Best. Submitting paid vet bills and wellness checks with meds is so easy with the app. And direct payment is always within the 5-10 day window frame from the day of submitting the receipts. We love the 24/7 vet help line and the customer service. Would highly recommend.

Olivia is prone to gum disease. She needs more coverage for increased preventative care to prevent tooth loss due to abscesses beneath the gum line and a policy that covers more than one dental cleaning a year. Her teeth are brushed every day and anti bacterial treatments are applied to her gums as well. A one size fits all approach to dental coverage is inadequate and frustrating when it comes of Pets Best! Your insurance options are definitely not the best when it comes to dental care!

Pets best customer service sucks. First, you wait on the phone FOREVER, I've waited on the phone for over 2hrs and never had a pick up. Claims will be denied for ANY reason, my dog has a hereditary condition and I insured him when I adopted him as a puppy. Pets best website claims they cover hereditary conditions. But due to a noting on my waiting period of his eyes being cloudy my claim was DENIED. They have no understanding of what a hereditary IS - meaning they are born with it and my puppy was born with this and they STILL denied the claim. Their customer service(when you FINALLY get ahold of them) is rude and unhelpful. They also didn't reimburse me the full amount for a wellness plan on my other dog and made a mistake, I had to keep calling and calling and calling I finally got ahold of someone and they said oh it looks like we made a mistake, I will submit an appeal for you. She submitted an appeal on 11/8/2020 and they reviewed and sent me the funds on 03/08/21. Ridiculous wait time, especially for this being THEIR error. Also, I had their top plans for both my pets, so I was a good cash cow for them which is MY mistake. I regret ever signing up with pets best and want to warn future customers to avoid this company at all costs.

A very good company, I just love it and have the security when my pet has to go to the vet
