The service is slow and they don’t cover much. It’s better without or having a different insurance.

They will take any opportunity to not refund your claim

I understood that preexisting conditions would not be covered when I started a policy with my year old lab. He had gone to the vet once before for hot spots. Which can be caused for a number of reasons but my vet rightfully put "could possibly be due to allergies". When my dog visited again, as an effective member, he had an ear infection. Vet's Best would not cover the $220 bill because they claimed that ear infections are allergies and he has a note on his chart for having allergies. I absolutely cant believe they tried so hard to find a way NOT to cover us. Dont trust them! If you're going to buy then buy as a puppy.

filed two claims, both denied, was not aware I signed up for "tryandgetsomeobamapetcare". Save your money as they dont pay for crap

Good service, takes long tine to process claims

Good service and easy app interface. Gave 3 stars as it takes a lot longer than it used to for processing claims and reimbursement, even with direct deposit.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
