Great coverage but slow claim processing

The coverage and price is great, but it takes a long time to be reimbursed after submitting a claim. Like months. Customer service is always very nice

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Was originally impressed when they told me the window of time for my claim then they exceeded that window by 3 weeks. I’m super disappointed in this all together, and would not recommend it to anyone ever. Only keeping it till my year is up.

Pets Best customer service agent Hailey LaPeer need to be fired. I was chatting with Pets Best customer service agent Hailey LaPeer and asked her to transfer me to the supervisor. Hailey LaPeer response we can't reinstate your policy and no I'm not going to transfer the chat to a supervisor because they will say the same thing I'm telling you.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
