Slower reimbursement than before

I realize Pets Best probably has a lot of claims to process but it takes much longer than it used to to receive reimbursement. Probably isn’t an issue for some people but for someone on a fixed income it is. May have to consider another provider.

Pets Best IS THE BEST

I absolutely love Pets Best insurance. Everything is easy to find on the website. I am able to contact customer service without any wait time and they are always friendly and helpful. I am comforted knowing I have this policy in place in the event something happens to my dog. I would recommend this to any pet owner. It is well worth the price.

Overall, a good insurance policy

It was easy to submit a claim for my cat's stay in the animal hospital and almost everything was covered. I'm very grateful I was able to get my cat the care he needed without worrying about the costs. The process was a little slow - it took about six weeks to process my claim. The explanation of benefits is also a bit confusing - they say that it's 90% co-insurance, but they mean that they pay for 90% of the costs. In the human medical world, this would be referred to as 10% co-insurance. But overall, a good experience with Pets Best.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
