Wait Time
I’m glad I have pet insurance but the wait time in between submitting a claim and hearing back about how much I will get back is way too long. My last claim that I submitted took over a month.

Disappointed in service
Quite disappointed. I had a vet bill of $860.72 for a dental cleaning and a surgical procedure for removal of a growth/mass on my dogs chest. Best Pets split this one visit into two separate claims (claim 4486XXX for $396.13 and claim 4418XXX for $464.59). I was only refunded a total of $305.10 (186.77 + 118.33). The review of the records also took longer than it should. I received an apology email for the wait; however, the refund is not satisfactory. I understand that insurance is a business; however, as customers we pay for insurance to protect our pets during emergencies and surgery. I also have dental as a part of my policy. This refund is inadequate given how much I pay every month to insure my pet.

Excellent Service
Pet insurance is a new experience for us, but Pets Best has been easy to work with and very responsive. When I had a question about a particular claim, I called and the representative was both helpful and understanding. When we did have a major claim, I was a bit skeptical of what would happen - not having had experience with such a thing before, and assuming that the insurance would be as minimal as possible - the results of the claim, however, were as the coverage plan claimed they would be, the payment was quick and direct, and the service was excellent.

My puppy got Parvovirus spent 7 days at…
My puppy got Parvovirus spent 7 days at the vets the Bill cost me almost $1000 and Pets Best is only reimbursing back $187.01 not sure if it is worth having pet insurance.

Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date.
