Couldn't have been easier, and what a relief!

I was extremely worried when Hobbes wasn't eating and became very lethargic. it was clear he was uncomfortable and we were sure, due to his age, that he was deciding to leave us. Taking him in to the vet during a pandemic was stressful enough without having to worry about getting him the care he needed quickly, and being able to afford it. Fortunately, we were quickly able to determine it was inflammation, and with in-patient treatment he should recover and come home. I can't say how thankful I am to have this insurance plan for him! When I called customer care while we were waiting for his test results, I was assured his policy generally covered the care he was receiving, and that if i needed help submitting my claim (I didn't it could not be easier - thank you!) that they could walk me through it when the time came. Luckily, with some dedicated care from our vet team, Hobbes was able to pull through in a mere number of days, and our plan covered everything we expected it would - hassle free! Hands down, worth every penny.

A must have

I have a policy on two of my dogs. It has been a life saver. It is so easy to submit a claim and the reimbursement is quick with direct deposit.

I am very satisfied by Nationwide's quick response and payment of all claims.

I would definitely recommend Nationwide to other pet owners.

Very Helpful Overall but...

Claims are easy to file, and reimbursements are delivered quickly. Customer service is helpful and friendly. One improvement would be to offer the claim form as an electronic form to be filled out online, rather than completing, printing, signing, scanning and emailing. Overall I am happy, but I've had one major disappointment when it comes to coverage - my dog had a yeast infection in his paw, and they did not cover the exam and treatment because they said it was a pre-existing condition. I do not consider a yeast infection a condition, it is an infection. I disputed, and sent all his records in, and they still denied it. They also deny claims for ear cleaning, which is important for a dog's health. They do cover teeth cleaning though, which is extremely helpful.
