even easier to submit claims
I already had a system for submitting claims: print & complete the form and fax it with the itemized receipt. However, working from home, due to covid-19, I was forced to consider other options. Not sure when Nationwide upgraded the process, but it is much better now. No more paper form - just complete the info online and upload the receipt from my vet (which is emailed and electronic already). Saves paper, time, and trouble!
If you're getting a pet, I HIGHLY recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance. It is worth every dollar! I'm amazed at how much we get back on wellness visits, etc.

One of the best, if not the best Pet Insurance around.
Probably one of the best, if not the best pet insurance around. Exceptional coverage. Quick turnaround time for claims. Very helpful customer associates. Website claim layout is super easy. The only thing that prevented me from giving them a perfect score is that they're not as "customizable" as other pet insurance around. I wish they can offer that feature soon, or at least give more options to fur-parents. Other than that, I LOVE IT!!!

Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
