Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

It's a comfort to know that when my pup is sick or needs to see a vet, that Nationwide is there. Unexpected illness can really take a toll on finances but with the insurance, I feel better able to manage the bills. The plan is one of the best out there for pets. Claims are processed quickly and communication is excellent. Worth every penny of the premium to know that my boy will get the care he needs when he needs it.

I have had Nationwide Pet Insurance for a number of years. The call center staff is always willing and normally able to assist. With the latest updates to the application, the methods available to send in a form has been much easier than in the past, and the payments come quite quickly. That said, if you are forced to go to an emergency veterinary clinic that charges more because they are the 'emergency' provider, what is paid back to you will be much less than what is allowed. So out of pocket could be quite pricey- over and above what the stated out of pocket deductibles listed. However, to date, this insurance has saved me quite a bit and I am very happy to have it. I would recommend the Wellness portion for any new dogs. I have one dog that has the wellness option, and the other (my rescue) without because she was older when we adopted her. I would not have a dog without Pet Insurance, and Nationwide appears to be one of the better companies to provide reasonable cost Pet Insurance.

Best insurance ever

Your insurance has been a big help with this stray dog that I took in and opened my heart to. He has had some medical challenges and is doing better now. One comment I did submit a request to the VetHelpline and never received a response.

Nationwide reimburses me super fast! My dog went for her annual, a spay, and a med refill post-op, and each claim has been reimbursed just a week after being sent in!
