So glad we purchased Pet Insurance for Stella!

I'm in the insurance industry so I am a big believer of protecting assets with insurance. That said, I never really considered Pet Insurance a value. Friends talked me into it considering the breed of our puppy. We shopped around and we are so grateful to come across Nationwide Pet Insurance. The customer service has been wonderful and the claims are paid quickly and simply.

Its been incredibly easy!

Thank you for making filing a claim so easy, plus the reimbursement is very fast. As a puppy - Nova has many wellness appointments and Nationwide has come through beautifully.

Renewal Scam

Third renewal and my premium went up almost 50% with no explanation on my renewal notice. When I called the rep couldn't tell me why. i had to ask for a supervisor who had a hard time explaining the increase. She said it was standard for premiums to increase on the third year. Okay, I get it, but almost 50%. Total scam. I can no longer afford the insurance. You should amend your catchy phrase to, " Nationwide is on your side, SOMETIMES." Shame on you... Sincerely, Sig

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
