Great so far!

Only had the plan for a few months, but it's going great so far. W've hit our deductable and they've been very efficient on processing claims and with payout. Claims have been handled within a week of being sent on the VItusVet app, and payouts go in via direct deposit quite easily. The only thing they have not covered was a nutritive paste, which is clearly demarcated as not covered in the policy, so I'm okay with that. Overall, painless, quick, and working well!

Excellent customer service

Nationwide has provided me with the easiest, fastest claim processing I have ever experienced . I have had my pets covered for over 15 years and have never been disappointed or frustrated with any claims I submitted. There claims process is outstanding. I highly recommend Nationwide for pet coverage.

stress free, fast and easy

This is the first time I have ever had pet insure for one of my dogs. I was a bit reluctant but decided on this for my new puppy. It's the best decision I made and so happy I went with Nationwide. Submitting a claim was very easy and it was processed very quickly. I had my benefits paid before I even received my credit card bill for the vet charges.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
